My name is Juliet Lloyd. I'm a 19-year-old artist and photographer from Miami, Florida, currently based in New York City. I view photography as a form of connection, it strings us together while documenting the human experience. Throughout my work, I try to incorporate themes of grief, nostalgia, autonomy, and self-acceptance, all major factors in the way my worldview has evolved. As for my art, I mostly paint in relation to my Jamaican roots as well as modern American idealism. Over the past year, I was able to develop and launch Lloyd Magazine, a publication entirely written, directed, and photographed by me.
